Ranen Reed
I need some ideas for a theme. I want to do pieces that are about going through life and kind of telling stories visually. I want to do paintings inspired by songs (listening to them while painting), emotions, how events we go through change us, etc. I can't come up with a broad enough term to not limit myself idea wise but specific enough for the IB. Kara Vaughn
i may be a bit late but maybe you can consider " musical influence" or just "influence" as a theme. Reply
bethiedrama101
I chose a broad theme, "identity" so that way I could do personal ones as well as broader pieces. You could do "coming of age" this way you could maybe embrace teen culture and story telling if that's something you're into. Though examiners of IB art have said that many people feel suffocated by the idea of a theme and that it is not as important as it used to be. Maybe you could try and make art pieces and find the link when you look at your finished body of work. Reply
