IA Harmonic series; how do I show personal engagement?

Hey, I'm doing my maths exploration on the harmonic series, specifically I would be investigating the strange properties of it, including some paradoxes concerning it as well. However, I don't really know how to show personal engagement. Like, what am I supposed to do/write to show the examiners. I chose the topic because it is music related, hence the name, and since I'm a keen musician myself, i thought it would be a good idea to see how maths is connected.

Now I don't know anything about music, but are talking about the way in Physics take about the waves of sounds?
