TOK presentation knowledge question

You bumped a thread one minute after you created it?

You should really be coming up with your own ToK presentation.

However, I'll say that you should take it a step back so it is more generalized. Ask about how previous personal knowledge and bias can influence our perception of areas of knowledge. That's what you're really asking here, right? How what someone already knew prejudices them?

Well prejudice has a negative connotation, which I don't think would be appropriate for the question I'm asking. I think knowing about the identity of an artist can be very important in analyzing a work. For example: knowing about Zora Neale Hurston's life might help you to analyze and understand her work, Their Eyes Were Watching God. It's not really about prejudice, it's about how knowledge interacts with analysis, and they don't necessarily interact in a bad, prejudiced, way.
