Gilbert
Hello everyone, I am entering the IB Diploma programme by next academic year and I'm a bit confused with my group 4 subjects. I have chosen Chemistry but I am going to take Business or Chemical Engineer for my bachelor's degree.... Should I change my group 4 into Physics or what?NB: I'm not really good in memorising, I have better background in Chemistry than in Physics and Biology, and I can choose only 1 science subject. Thanks a lot. Mantequilla
For chemical engineering, it's good to have Chemistry, Physics and Math HL.For business, it's good to have B&M and Math HL. The requirements do vary from university to university, so you should check that out as well. If you're not good at memorising, then physics should be easier than chemistry. Why can you only choose one science subject? It's not mandatory to have a group 6 creative subject. Reply

IbTrojan
Well I think you should definitely take physics if engineering is one of your future options. But if you can't take it for group 6, then maybe take it in summer school so you have the credit? And then take B&M for your group 6 so you keep all of your bases covered. Gilbert
About B&M as my group 6... Which one is better to be taken? Economics in group 3 or B&M as my group 6? Thanks! Reply
Schrodinger's CAS
Our IB coordinator told us that B&M is better for going into business. But maybe that is just an Atlantic Canada thing Reply
