IbTrojan
I am pretty sure we can now discuss paper 2! SO guys, TZ 1 and TZ 2, what did you guys think? How did it go for y'all? Reply
Isabella
Kind of hard, few questions were awful (Q10) but most of it was okay... I must say that until yesterday I thought I did extremely bad so now I got slightly more positive hahahahah 1 Reply
Che Guevara
Guys is it okay for the sequence question if I used the method of individually calculating the results? How many marks would I lose? Edited May 14, 2015 by Che Guevara Reply
irossi
My whole class found this exam really hard! Most of us couldn't answer question 1 and 10, other than those there were only a couple parts that I didn't understand Reply
alexianomikou
Question 10 was so incredibly hard! It was a really hard exam...we all found certain questions to be really difficult to approach. I actually hoped that paper 2 would help me save some things that happened in paper 1 what now im just scared. Reply
crystalng99
TZ1/PAPER 2: the question with finding the coordinates of Q when P was givenlord jesus :/ 1 Reply
Richard Bankole
Paper 2 TZ2 was rough, particularly questions 7 and, although I managed to do the first two parts, the 8 point part of question 10.. I'm almost sure the grade boundaries will be lower, the consensus among my classmates was that Paper 2 was much harder than some others we'd done in practice. Che Guevara
TZ1/PAPER 2: the question with finding the coordinates of Q when P was givenlord jesus :/ I think for that question, you needed to find the intersection point on the calculator, that question was mostly, if not all about the calculator. 1 Reply
alexianomikou
sadly that question about Q and P was all on the calculator...and sadly i remembered how to solve it after i left the room. it was honestly really simple if you know how to do it on the calculator Edited May 14, 2015 by alexianomikou Reply
AnonymousGlassesIB
Paper 2 TZ2 (I think): Didn't you guys hate the statistics question where it there was a standard distribution with (sigma)^2? It was so unnecessary. Reply
IbTrojan
TZ1/PAPER 2: the question with finding the coordinates of Q when P was givenlord jesus :/ I'm soooooo mad at myself! I figure it out and there was like 30 seconds left AND I REALIZED I SWITCHED THE X AND Y VALUES WHEN FINDING THE COORDINATES OF Q so I got it wrong Reply
swegmagician1337
What did everyone get for the yogurt container cups? The new standard deviation? 4.87? 1 Reply

Camilla
In my class we couldn't solve the last two points of section B, The one of probability and the one that had the strange square triangle thingy. Did anyone else had that exam? 2 Reply
thepositiveclub
Let's hope for low grade boundaries... Reply
ibswitzerland
what about the question with k and the two functions? did you get this one? Reply

It was so unnecessary. sigma^2 is just the standard deviation squared, I thought this was the best question out of Section B tbh what about the question with k and the two functions? did you get this one?I tried solving it as both a quadratic and algebraically but got nothing, hoping for some method marks Reply
whydidiprocrastinate
Thought both papers were relatively easy (TZ2) but I couldn't manage my time and ended up rushing the last question for paper 2 Reply
Klauu
Paper 2 was hell, like seriously hell... the k queston just did not work, I used quadratic approach, but no...just no. Whole question 10 was also just no... Reply
nlebanon97
what about the question with k and the two functions? did you get this one?I did it on my graphics calculator and i used the discriminant equation and i got that k < 0 thats all it needed for there to be two intersection points.i first got that k =-3.2 but then I realized that anything below zero worked.
