Essays that touch on more than one subjects will score low marks, so make sure you only focus on one perspective DEFINITELY a good idea. Especially with 4,000 words, you won't be able to effectively expand on each portion to the extent IB wants you to do, which in turn gives lower marks. So do whichever interests you more, and make sure you are able to find ample amount of sources. Which subject would you be doing this in? History or World Studies or what?
