louistomlinson
I took honors chemistry I this year and did very well in it, but I'm worried that my math skills won't be able to get me through HL chem. I've only taken algebra I and geometry in the American high school math curriculum and I plan to take math studies for IB. Advice? Reply
Emmi
If you can divide two numbers, take the log of something, and maybe find the square root of a number then you know all of the math required for both HL and SL chemistry. Reply
Baller97
Yeah you don't really need much Maths knowledge for HL Chemistry.. If you know how to multiply and divide, you're good to go Reply
lonesoldier
The math needed for even HL chemistry is actually pretty simple and your algebra course should be more than enough to get you through it. The stoichiometry unit requires a lot of math but it's mostly just balancing equations so as long as you know how to do that you should be fine Reply
Sceptyczka
I did Chemistry SL alongside Math Studies and had no problems with the mathematical part of Chemistry. Reply
