Chesire_Cat
wow... I have 8 subjects, which means 6 IB, Ceramics and Scolpture and one Study hall.we have an 8 day rotation schedule, so all my courses change every day. I find it very confusing and not helpful in the least. But oh well, it's not like they will listen to me anyways... I asked for 2 study halls, since I'm taking HL Chem and SL Computer Science, which are hard courses (at least in my opinion), but I didn't get an extra study hall, however, my friend who has all easy subjects, such as Design Tech and 2 "Humanistic" subjects, has two study halls, in which she does absolutely nothing. My school is really unfair... Reply
NaaPuchho
I leave the house at around 7:15 am and usually come home at around 4:30 pm every day except for Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other than that I have a full schedule with less free periods (or rather study hall periods :b) than last year. =.= Plus two exams every Wednesday morning and at the end of each terms (we have 3) a week full of exams from every subject. :/ When I compare my schedule to the ones who are doing AP in my school... Gosh. They got so much free time! O_O Reply

roseadage
School from 7:00-3:00. Homeroom and Break is 20 min each. Lunch is like another period. Wednesday schedules are a little different since we get released earlier. Anything in white is a specific school requirement. The schedule used to be a whole lot more confusing because we had the rotating day schedules, like some of you guys have now but they've gotten rid of that. clare.is.rice
9 day system here (crazy or what?)I get 13 free periods ever nine days (not counting lunch), and there is one day when I don't get a lunch break Official school day 8:40-3:45Tuesdays and Thursdays theater 4:15-5:30 (creativity)Fridays Swimming 4:15-6:00 (action)34 hours 25 minutes a week + 2 hours 30 minutes theater Periods last 45 minutesthere is 15 minute break between period 3 and period 4there are eight periods a day, one of which (period six) is in theory lunch, in practice some classes get scheduled then anyway.11th grades can leave campus if and only if they have no more classes that day, all eleventh graders must attend homeroom even if this is followed by free periods, 12th graders get senior privileges which includes the right to stay in bed if they have frees first thing.does anyone else have classes during lunch? Aether
Naaah... mine was completely full from 7 am to 3 pm. I have 4 subjects in High level and an extra subject that is not in the IB diploma. I didn't have a single free period, and to round it all I am in almost absolutely every extracurricular activity that ocurred to me, so sometimes I went home like at 5 pm. As it is understandable, by the end of the first semester I was completely fed up, so I quit the extra subject. Now I have 4 free periods Reply
hermine0817
does anyone else have classes during lunch? We don't even have set lunch hours. We had it until 10th grade before starting IB, but now, we somehow have to get something to eat in breaks or in free hours (which can be extremely late in my opinion). At least most teachers allow us to eat in the lesson. Reply

Ashika
and wow, i've never heard of a school that doesn't have 2 lunch breaks? what time do you normally have lunch then?Just like many North Americans have never heard of a 2 hr break... we're accustomed to 1 hr. (I'm making a major assumption here, so correct me if I'm wrong... I've definitely only ever had 1 hr lunches during my first 13 years of schooling)I'm not even sure what I would do for 2 hrs when I was still in high school.
