Godspeedyou
Hi,For my HL Biology IA I'm investigating the effect of sound pressure on heart rate. My teacher says that error bars for our graphs should be the standard deviation of our data. I know what standard deviation is and how to calculate it, but I don't think it makes sense to calculate SD in the context of my experiment; it doesn't make sense for there to be an expected heart rate among different participants of various ages, and it doesn't make sense for there to be an expected heart rate that deviates based on lower or higher decibel levels. Should I just use 1 decibel as my error bar length or something? Thanks. Reply
