natashaadamspawar
hey guys!So I'm nearing the end of my year 1 in the IB and my school hasn't officially started any ToK class. The teachers say we'll start ToK classes directly in year 2. Will this prove to be fatal in any way for my DP?(you know since year 2 will ovio be harder) Reply
Echowave
No. It will not. You will spend the summer doing your EE and the TOK essay is to be done during christmas it's the end of february now and I've already completed it. Really it's not hard to do once you've completed your EE. Just manage your time well and hopefully you've got good organized teachers because my finals are in 2 months ish and I have barely started studying due to being occupied last minute with editing my english written tasks and my MLI. 1 Reply
Gaby
The less TOK, the better for your mental health, trust me. We had 1.5 years of TOK (finished halfway through IB2) and it was a lot of wasted time. One of the TOK teachers at my school who didn't teach me said that we could easily have done everything in a few months and not waste everyone's time. 4 Reply
kw0573
My ToK class was in grade 11 every other day for an hour. Still got an B. It would help if you do a significant amount of work for EE and your IAs over the summer. Once you spend a few weeks getting used to ToK it's not bad at all. 1 Reply
