Ace of Devils
I'm in IB1 taking the usual 3 HL's and 3 SL's, but some of my friends are currently planning to enroll in AP courses alongside to boost their resumes for applying to the US. Since I'm applying to the UK, likely for economics or law, is it recommendable to follow suit? If I take an AP, it would be either Psychology, Macro/Micro, or Computer Science, whereas the GOA (global online academy) would be for criminal law. Sandwich
No, AP courses aren't well regarded in the UK. I had a friend from the US who had to spend an extra year doing A Levels before applying here purely because they don't consider AP exams. If you were going to do anything extra you should do A Levels, not AP exams. However any additional courses are unnecessary. You're better off focussing your time on extra curricular activities that show another side to you. IB is sufficient to show academic achievement.
