Guest
Q: State and explain whether 0.1 mol magnesium hydroxide is more effective or less effective than 0.1 mol of aluminum hydroxide. I don't know how I would solve this question? Is it related to molar mass, bonds, polarity? I have no clue... Please help me understand how I can solve this question. kw0573
For every 0.1 mol of the compound, there are 0.3 mol of hydroxide in Al(OH)3, and 0.2 mol of hydroxide in Mg(OH)2. Both are assumed to completely dissociate. From what I am given aluminum hydroxide would be effective when hydroxide is "effective". Reply
