Can you choose which option questions to answer

So say my teacher picked option A, which i found it very difficult. Can I teach myself option B and answer questions from option B?

Yes you can. Your option exam paper will contain questions for all the options, and you can pick which option you'll answer the questions for.

I changed my option in Chemistry a week before the exam, without telling my teacher, and that's what I wrote in the exam.

If you do decide to study option B, you may find my videos helpful:

It comes down to what Option you answer on the exam (You are given ALL of them), and then what option you specify on the cover-sheet of the exam. Your teacher doesn't have a say at all.
