IBdoingnothing
Hey guys, is there a huge difference in the education and future opportunities for employment in the engineering field between these two countries? If I go to the USA, then I'd have to go to a community college in the first two years first/ Edited April 8, 2016 by IBdoingnothing Reply
terribletouw
In Australia we have fewer requirements in terms of subjects you have to take. i.e. if you're doing an engineering degree you won't be forced to continue taking history, english, etc. which I think is good if you know what you want to do. Education and future opportunities really depends on the university, not the country. If you go to a good uni in Australia and a bad one in the US, obviously you're going to have a better education/future opportunities at the Australian one, and vice versa. In Australia, I'd recommend taking a look at Melbourne Uni, UNSW, Sydney uni and ANU Reply
VeronicaG
Since you said you would have to take community college in the USA, I'd stick with Australian unis. For employers, university typically looks better than community college, although this does change on a per person basis. Engineering is a really good degree anyways, so it doesn't really matter where you go. Reply
