inriya
Hey all! Chemistry Exam is in less than 20 days this May. IB chemistry is amongst the subjects with the most diverse and heavy content, each interlocking with one another. However, my problem that my teacher pointed out is not being able to use my knowledge in various topics. For example if acids and bases tied up with redox reactions, I will get nervous and not being able to answer as well. How do you revise for IB Chemistry Exam? Do you have any advice for me? kw0573
@inriya Ultimately, IB puts questions of different topics in different parts of the same question. So if a question has 5 parts, it may be a) - physical properties b) formal charge c) organic reaction and later redox reaction. It's best to just practice each part separately and only rely on doing full past papers as an indication of your performance, not as the primary mode of practising. A better way is do be mostly practising questions of just one topic at one time, and as you are more comfortable look at the common pairings, like organic and redox, equilibrium and acid/base, bond enthalpies and enthalpies of reactions, etc. 1 Reply
inriya
@kw0573 Thank you so much. I wish someone had sent me this much earlier than me stressing out 10 days before the exam. Reply
