M2016
When I study from notes, textbooks, videos, etc. I feel like I really understand the topic. However, when I do past papers, I am unable to do well in them. It's like Iv'e been studying for something completely different. And I study from the correct syllabus and I go over the required knowledge and understandings. I don't know where I'm going wrong. Reply
inriya
Biology requires a lot of past papers to do because reading is just not enough. What past papers did you do? Is it too far back behind? Because some of the syllabus have been changed especially this year, Paper 3 mostly. If you find yourself stuck in Past Paper, I would suggest that you do one Paper 1, then you will see what you have done wrong so as a reference, go back and revise it by notes, diagrams (most effective). It could be because Biology requires a lot of memorization, so you may have lost some of the knowledge in between your revision. Practicing is gold for Biology because you will accumulate experiences doing past papers, try doing past papers like 2013, 2014 that would be similar to the current exam.
