Math HL paper 2 TZ2

Well now that its past 24 hours since math HL paper 2, we can finally discuss it! How was the paper? 

Did you find the last question in section B difficult?

Hi, I found the paper to be quite nice, slightly better than paper 1; particularly in terms of time.

The last question was quite unconventional at first, but wasn't too bad when you actually started doing the question.

Was that the question with f(x)= 0.5*(e^x+e^-x)?

Yes, I loved that question with the hyperbolic trig functions (though they didn't specifically mention that)! How did you show that alpha was always less than 10 degrees?

Basically, you previously found a point where dtan(alpha)/dx was 0 (I found x=9.5 something) then used d^2tan(alpha)/dx^2 to show that that was a maximum

I agree with you guys. Paper 2 TZ2 was abnormally easy. I was expecting some tricky probability questions but nothing came. I think the main focus of this paper was calculus, like all questions of section B are calculus related. Thus calculus-lovers would do exceptionally well in this paper.
