Basically, you previously found a point where dtan(alpha)/dx was 0 (I found x=9.5 something) then used d^2tan(alpha)/dx^2 to show that that was a maximum

I agree with you guys. Paper 2 TZ2 was abnormally easy. I was expecting some tricky probability questions but nothing came. I think the main focus of this paper was calculus, like all questions of section B are calculus related. Thus calculus-lovers would do exceptionally well in this paper.
