cometdown
Hey guys! There's the biology IA that I need to do and I've been trying to find topics for it that are interesting, and that seem simple to do. If you guys have any ideas, any advice or even any websites where I can get information and some ideas for my IA. I take standard level Biology, if that contributes to anything. Thank you so much for your help. Reply
Oscarthecat3
Hi there =), I can't tell you what to do, but I can advise you. To find some ideas, look through your bio text book; look for topics that you find interesting, e.g Human physiology Topic 6 , Global warming Topic 4, or Molecular biology Topic 2, If you can't find anything, use this website to help you. http://www.bioninja.com.au. What you must make sure NOT to do, is do an IA on one of the 7 prescribed practicals that can be found here: https://ib-biology-roundtable.wikispaces.com/2016+Required+Practicals; your IA can be on anything other than those 7 experiments. If you still find it hard to find an experiment. Go through the IB Biology syllabus found here https://qasmt.eq.edu.au/Curriculum_Documents/Group4/2016-2017/Biology-IB-Guide.pdf, and locate a subject area that you find interesting. Talk to your teacher about your interest in a subject area; and then, work with them, to deduce an appropriate experiment for your chosen area. Don't hesitate to ask further questions. Hope This helps 1 Reply
Jenn2300
Hey I'm working on a topic for my IB Biology IA. I was thinking on focusing on Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) as a topic but how could I turn it into a question? Could "how likely is a woman to get BV in her life time?" be a good question since all of my data and research will be from online resources.
