I came up with a link between the Atomic bombing of Japan and the tension between the US and Russia. Do you think it's too common? cuz it is related to the cause of Cold war... As for the tensions between Russia and US, it really depends on what event you narrow it down to. The Cuban Missile Crisis for one is very overdone.
