RHEAA
Hello, We have to write up at least 1 -2 pages of our Math IA by Wednesday. I thought of using the Fibonacci numbers and how they are used in casinos for betting. I researched and it said that this, however, isn't good for the long term as it can cause a lot of money loss so I thought I'd use other types of number ( like the Lucas numbers etc) and compare them. However, I feel like it will be a very short topic and I won't be able to write 12 pages on it. Please help me build on this idea. Thank you! SC2Player
Have you thought about investigating how casinos earn money in general, say by manipulating probabilities? Also, your IA doesn't need to actually be 12 pages. As long as it is between 6-12, you should be fine (quality over quantity, especially seeing that you are awarded marks for being concise). 1 Reply
ABKor752
Also, 6-12 pages is more of a suggestion. The IB is not as strict on length for the Math IA since tables and graphs often extend the length. Thus, the length of your paper should really just be a) as much as it takes to get across your point and b) as much as it takes without going overboard. If it feels like you have done a good amount, then you are probably good. 1 Reply
