We are reading:

The Tempest

Chronicles of a Death Foretold

Sula

(poems) World's Wife

I absolutely loved Chronicle of a Death Foretold, and *hate* Sula...

@mac117 Nice! I don't think in our class we get to read those books tho. I read:

Persepolis, All my sons, Woman at Point Zero, A Doll's House and now we are reading The Great Gatsby, and some poems by Seamus Heaney.

So far, there is not a single book that I didn't like (from my English Lit class). I really liked Woman at Point Zero!!

;We've already done:

  • The Crucible (my favourite)
  • Running In the Family
  • Life and Times of Michael K
  • The Reader

We'll be analyzing The Great Gatsby next.

Currently reading Moby **** in my spare time.  Pace is slow at times, but Ishmael's thoughts are quite interesting.

Currently reading/will be reading...

  • Macbeth
  • Antigone
  • The Reader
  • Arcadia
  • Chronicle of a Death Foretold
  • One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich

Personally, I find it difficult to understand the Shakespearean language and old English in general, so Macbeth and Antigone are a bit of a struggle right now. I've read a bit of The Reader and think that it's pretty good so far, however.
