Heyy. Just wondering if theres any restrictions on testing the effect of caffeine on heart rate?? (Idk if there is a drug use policy in the IB??)

No, not specifically. However, if you test it on your friends, then they will have to fill in a consent sheet (to show that your experiment is not putting them under pressure and is ethically correct). Also, avoid making people who usually don't drink coffee do so.

The consent form should state that the participant is ok doing the experiment and has the right to stop at any moment. They should sign it, and you can include them in your annex.
