sparkbufc
What does it mean when the markschemes say answers must be in mathematical notation and not calculator notation? What's the difference? Reply
SC2Player
Calculator notation refers to the notation that calculators sometimes use, e.g. 3^5 or 1e7. Mathematical notation for the previous examples would be 35 and 1x107. A more in-depth list is here: http://www.webassign.net/manual/student_guide/r_s_symbolic_question_notation.htm Generally, just don't blindly copy and paste stuff from your calculator and you should be OK.
