Vicdashit
Ok i am just wondering the significance of a lab for a group 4 science subject because atm, my best mark for my physics lab is: Design- C,C,C, Data Collection- C,P,C Conclusion- P, P, P (=.=;; and i have 1 more and it is the last lab writeup for the year, so i'm wondering if i end up getting Design- C,C,C, Data Collection- C,P,C Conclusion- C,C,C how much of an effect will my P,P,P in conclusion affect my IB mark? oh yea also, how much of a role does a lab play in the final ib mark? For ex, can i have a 5 for my lab and get a 7 on my exam and come out with a 7 overall? Edited December 1, 2008 by Vicdashit Reply
moneyfaery
Labs are worth 24% or so of your final mark. So yes, you can get a 5 on your IAs and pull off a final 7, but you need to make sure your exam marks are high enough to pull your final grade average up.
It was best two for last year. Not sure if it's still the same. Still, it depends on your teacher. He/she may decide that he/she will only send in 2 labs as only those fit the difficultly level expected for the course (as was, and is, the case for my school), so you would have to do well on those.
