IB Student Named Ezra Posted July 6, 2017 Report Share Posted July 6, 2017 So I just checked the results from my may of 2017 exams and I didn't get the IB diploma by one point. I am so sad right now, and I don't know how to tell my parents that I basically wasted thousands of dollars of their money. I am really not sure what to do. Here are the exams I took. English Literature HL: 4 (2 marks off the next grade) European History HL: 4 (7 marks off the next grade) Psychology HL: 3 (3 marks off the next grade) Biology SL : 3 (1 mark off the next grade) Math Studies SL: 5 (10 marks off the next grade) Chinese B SL: 4 (1 mark of the next grade) Which equals to 23 points but I got 2 points from my EE/TOK so a total of 25 points. So seeing how I am so close to the next grade on 2 HL's should I get them remaked? So I can get the diploma. The thing is that I know I did bad on the Psych paper 3 since I only answered one of the questions instead of all the require ones, so I am not sure if a remake would even help, and on English Lit. my IA was terrible because I wrote it in like 2 hours due to procrastinated and ended up doing it 2 hours before my IB coordinator had to upload the IA's, it was under the required word count with minor grammar mistakes. Oh I did not get the message at first... Yes then @Rosalina is right. It would be harder to increase the points in Psych so I would send back English for remarking.
