IBlearner73
Hi! I'm doing my maths ia sl and have come across the idea of exploring several dimensions(4th, 5th,...), but some people are writing that this is kind of complex even for an HL student. Is this true? Also which branch of mathematics(geometry, algebra, statistics and probability, modelling,..) generally gains the best grades if anyone has that information? Thanks a lot Reply
kw0573
First of all, I cannot attest to what branches of math gains the best grades. Grades obviously depend on the writer and less so on the topic. Think of dimensions as variables. 4 dimensions just mean 4 variables. It's likely not fruitful to explain visualization of high dimensions, but you can certainly explore math extended to multiple dimensions. Eg high dimensional vector spaces and calculus. That's about it I can say to help you (or anyone) to choose a topic. Best luck! 1 Reply
