IronicBolshevik5
Hello! I'm an International (Asian) aiming for top universities in US, for now, the goal being Caltech. My GPA is pretty good, and Standardized test scores have room for improvement (and I do have time to improve). Extracurriculars is being worked on. Our school gives out GPA's separate from the IB Predicted grades.I was feeling good, until I saw this "Competitive applicants whose schools offer the IB curriculum will have scores of 6 or 7 on their IB exams, including their "predicted" grades." - How to Apply as a First-Year Applicant from the Caltech webpage So now, I'm curious (and scared): Do IB predicted scores matter when you're applying for top US unis, primarity Caltech? kw0573
For an IB applicant, American schools will rely upon predicted grades as part of the admission process. When you are applying outside your country, your IB PGs will likely outweigh your GPA. 1 Reply
