Why is it (12/3)(1.5)?

Recommended Posts

So I keep getting 26+(5*2)+ (12*1.5) = 54

However, the answer is 42? I read the explanation and I don't understand why they divide 12/3?

For the breadsticks, it's $1.50 for 3 breadsticks, as it says "$1.50 for an order of 3 breadsticks", so you have 12/3 = 4 portions. Should be able to get the correct answer.
