I personally did mine on the effect of competitive and non-competitive inhibitors on enzymatic reactions.

I posted a link in Biology and ESS a while back where you can find a bunch of experiments that are accepted. Keep in mind that not all are applicable and that you still need to be able to formulate a correct research question (what is the effect of X on Y?). Nonetheless that for the ones that you can do, it has very good explanations. As a tip, I'd say add a personal twist to it e.g. instead of "what is the effect of coffee on reaction time" maybe try testing different variables such as different coffees, decaf, and/or testing placebo effect.
