Elaine Sycamore
Hi! So yeah, this is my first post but I've been lurking on this site for a while Anyway, I had an important question for any of you who are taking Computer Engineering after the IB program. So basically, I'm in my first year of IB and I took SL Math rather than the HL one (I'm not that great at math - passable, but not perfect) and I've now realized that applying to Computer Engineering might be a bit of a problem, as I've heard that HL is better. I'm thinking of applying to University of Toronto for my Engineering degree, after which I want to apply to law school. Any thoughts on whether having SL Math is going to seriously affect my chances? I do have HL Chemistry and SL Physics in my timetable too. Any input would be much appreciated Reply
VeronicaG
SL Math is fine for any Canadian university, even for engineering. It won't help with university content but to get into the program all you need are high grades and SL can help with that Reply
