Dylan B
HL: Physics, Literature, Global Politics SL: Math, French Abinitio, (either Geo or History) idk whether i should do history or geo, i have no idea what i want to do in the future. Naturally i prefer History over Geo. If i take Geo im guaranteed a 6-7 in my school. but if i take History im guaranteed a 4-6. which should i take? tech wizard
Geo. isnt world average for history a 4?? Just think about it. Although you prefer history, you should pick geo because you'll get better grades there Reply
mac117
I doubt your school can “guarantee” anything. It’s up to your personal strengths and interests. Don’t take subjects that are “an easy 7” because more often than not they are the opposite of that. I take geography purely because I have 0 interest in history. It might be regarded as the easier out of the two, but I have classmates who take history and score 7s but would struggle with geography due to the fact they don’t like it at all. 1 Reply
Keyah_Vaughan
Hi~ Personally, I'd choose History. You should avoid choosing subjects based on getting easy grades. A lot of the time, your performance is rooted in interest/passion for the subject. If you become bored with Geography and put less effort in, your grades will slip, whereas if you put loads of time and care into History because you genuinely care about the subject and the content you are more likely to achieve great results. Also, History seems to fit more naturally with your other subject choices. This is just what I would do. Good luck~ 1 Reply
