Gr8
Is graphing data and coming up with a function for that data enough for Math sl IA? I want to receive as high marks as possible. What else can I do? I think the graph is either sine or cosine. Please help, Thank YOU! IB Math Helper
No, it's not enough. I can answer this question better if I knew what your topic was about. 1 Reply
ABKor752
That can be a starting point, but as IB Math Helper said, it probably should not be the entire investigation. Try to think of something you can model, then expand upon that to make it more interesting. 1 Reply

IB Math Helper
Other than getting some sunrise or sunset times over a year and plotting them to get the sinusoidal graph, i'm not sure what else you can do especially on the Personal Engagement and Critical Reflection front. This would be a very basic investigation. Perhaps you can do something with amount of sunshine over the year and integrate the graph to find the amount of sunshine you could potentially convert from solar into electric energy? That may be one direction to go. 1 Reply
