Dylan B
does anyone know what majors require me to take literature? or what the hell the class is useful for career wise? Reply
kw0573
I thought I was clear that you should check graduation requirements unique to universities of your interest. For example to graduate, I need at least one course in each of literature, social sciences, humanities, math, science. These are needed at my university regardless of the major. IB_taking_over
To go off of kw0573, most universities will require some sort of literature course. Like many general education requirements, it may not directly pertain to your major but you are still required to take it. (For example, I don't see a lab science or math as very practical skills for majoring in history and Russian, but I am still taking them in university.) Since every university has different general education requirements, you are best to look each one specifically. My guess is that language (whether your native language or a foreign language), literary studies, and probably any of the humanities would require a literature class. 1 Reply
Gaby
It will depend on the country. If you go to a university in the UK, the only degree you'd need literature in would be literature. Reply
