Olivers A
Hi! I want to do my history IA on the CIA relations to crack cocaine smuggling in the 1980s of South Central Los Angeles. It's a topic I'm interested in, however I can't find my self making a good question for an IA about that topic? Any ideas? Reply
Nomenclature
First, you should have at least a vague idea of an answer to your question before you actually write it as your research question. I recommend actually starting with a thesis so you know you have a solid foundation. If you've already done some reading on the topic, then think of something you'd like to prove. If not, read up some more on it. I really can't offer much more than that. But, hint hint, I can say that common angles of attack for history EE's are analyzing something's effectiveness at doing something, alleging a non-obvious effect arose as a result of something's involvement, or alleging that something was harmful. That's general advice, though. Good luck and godspeed with your reading. Reply
Olivers A
Thanks a lot! I understand it can be difficult to explain something with so little to go with. I really do appreciate the help and it did give me a better view on my ideas. I think I've got some in mind and I'll talk to my teacher about it. Thanks again!
