__inthemaking
I'm from Ontario, so they didn't even look at my IB scores, just my Ontario marks when I applied. Are you an international student?I applied to UT science and got in fine, UT sci only requires predicted of 28. Same for UT eng except if you're applying for engineering science, that would probably require a minimum of 35 or so. All of my friends that applied got into Waterloo sci and eng, they aren't extremely competitive programs so I don't think they'll require a very high IB score..I believe my friends said only 30 was required. HilarityEnsues
Is there a website for each university that states the admission average? So far, I've only found ones for UBC and it took a while. Reply

HilarityEnsues
^ Those are all very generalized requirements. I was wondering if anyone knew the specific requirements, as in total mark + specific course marks required. I'm trying to figure out which programs are more selective and which are less so I'll know what to put as my first and second choice, if that matters. HilarityEnsues
Ah, I see. Much thanks to you.Another question:All the universities seem to group everything that falls under Bachelor of Science into one range. For example, UBC wants 30-32 for sciences. Would that imply they have the same selectivity for all the sciences or would say, Physics be harder to get in than Chemistry? Reply
__inthemaking
Usually the first year is general for a BSc degree..you don't usually specialize until at least second year. Unless it's different for UBC. But I know that for Ontario universities, I've looked into the science programs at all of them and whatever they have as their IB requirement is the same for all first years. greaterthaninfinity
A great site to look up general information (including required entrance averages) for Ontario universities is this. I'm not sure about the entrance averages for universities like UBC though; sorry. Reply
