Christina Dahdal
Hey! My biology IA is predicted at a high 4 low 5, I am trying to get a 6. However, If I keep a 5, will I still be able to get a 6 overall if I do well in my exams? And how much is the IA weighted in contrast to the exams? No matter what grade you get on your IA, it is possible to get any grade from a 1 to a 7 overall for Biology. The IA is marked out of 24 points, which is then weighted at 20% of your final grade. Assuming your IA is a low 5, which would be a mark of 14/24, and using May 2017 boundaries, that means you'd need roughly a 68% overall for your exams (Papers 1, 2, 3) to be relatively secure in getting a 6.
