I choose the prescribed question "How does the text conform to, or deviate from, the conventions of a particular genre and for what purpose? " and I focus my response on arguing The Great Gatsby displays the characteristic of both modernistic and romantic novel. These are my concerns: 1. Are romanticism and modernism defined as two literary genres (sub-genres are fine as well) by IB definition? 2. Does my content answer the prescribed question? Thank you for your help!!!
