However, after studying literature for the past 2 years, I strongly advise you to make a list of all the common (and several advanced) literary techniques - such as diction, imagery, metaphors, similes and so on. Start familiarizing yourself with these terminologies as it will greatly boost your marks in the analysis aspect of your essay.
