If you ever want to say something in English, but you're unsure if you're making a mistake, check in that moment. With the internet you can check structures and even ask specific questions. Glasses will (if the problem is that basic and shallow) or learning to read between the lines rather than reading the word as it is. I was raised in a Chinese family and had to learn English in Singapore. It was not an easy journey since both languages contrasted each other so much. However, after much hard work (and terrible misery ), I am now coping very well in my English class. So, don't worry too much about this - even though there may be some sort of cultural influence, you will still be able to master another language if you practice diligently.
