Cschreiner7701
Can you use confidence intervals on bar charts? I did my IB Chemistry IA experiment on the effects of varying antacids on the pH of HCl so I have a bar chart with the types of antacids on the x axis and then the mean change in pH on the y axis. I wanted use confidence intervals to show how much of my data is due to random error but I started hearing that CI is only for t-charts. Does it make sense to use CI or should I just use standard deviation or standard error? I’m in both IB Chem and Bio and my two teachers are telling me different things about stats and uncertainty so I’m getting quite confused on when and why to use different types of data analysis.
