Previously, I wanted to correlate time with the amount of people coming to our school cafeteria and see which distribution it would follow, but I realized that this result would be meaningless. After that, I changed it a little and wanted to use math to optimize the line arrangements in our cafeteria. Using information about queueing theory I found online, I have the formulas to calculate the estimated waiting time for every counter, of which I can use to calculate how many counters our cafeterias would need as well. This is also the only thing about queueing theory I can understand. Can someone give me any suggestions on my topic? Are there formulas I can use to make the queueing calculations more advanced, or should I add some calculations on other topics, or should I just switch to another completely different topic altogether?
