What does it mean that the research question is "deemed inappropriate for the subject"?

I was wondering what it means when it says in the criterion for the EE that the research question is: "deemed inapproprate for the subject"? Does it mean that it is a question that should be registered under another subject or could it also be that the question is within the subject but it is inappropriate because of the depth that can be reached through the method (science)/research?

I would say this remark is specific to the topic or research question, not to the method. This is most likely be a question that is outside the scopes of the subject. For example, an inappropriate physics topic could be the ways maglev trains benefited society, where it may be closer to economics. In addition, non-academic topics are inappropriate, such as looking at a pro sports team success for the subject sports exercise and health science.
