potassium dichromate (VI) is an oxidizing agent, that is it reacts with primary or secondary alcohols. A is a tertiary alcohol. B is a carboxylic acid. C is a secondary alchohol. D is an ether. Even without looking at esterification, only C can be answer. If you are interested, A, B, and C can form esters because they are either alcohols or carboxylic acids.
