First, the reaction I might use is CH3CH2Br+OH−→CH3CH2OH+Br- I'm going to stop the reaction by adding Hydrochloric acid, then titrate with Sodium hydroxide solution to see how much HCl was left over. From that, I can calculate the rate of reaction. BUT THE PROBLEM IS: I don't have access to CH3CH2Br What other substance (preferably a common one) can I use for this experiment? Thank you so much!
