Egg osmosis experiment suitable for IA?

I am wanting to do my Bio IA on osmosis and thought that I would do the experiment with eggs where you soak several of them it in vinegar until the shell dissolves and then put those eggs into a solution with different concentration. Along the lines of investigating the effect of different concentrations the solution has on the osmotic activity in the eggs.

I am concerned that this might be too easy though or not even allowed as a mandatory lab for estimating osmolarity was supposed to be done by bathing tissues in hypotonic and hypertonic solutions... any thoughts or past experience with this?

Thank you!
