HawkThorn Posted November 6, 2018 Report Share Posted November 6, 2018 My first pass at this EE led me to this research question: In what way was the Middle Ages a period of progress and cultural development? Does this work as a RQ? The feedback I have received is that my paper is reading as too narrative. I am discussing the time period and it's labeling as an era of regression (between the Roman empire and the Renaissance), then speaking in detail all of the amazing developments that occurred during the time. The middle ages span nearly a thousand years, whereas the research questions used in exemplars tend to focus on either a singular event or a time period under ten years in length.
