Is this topic appropiate for a Chemistry EE

Hi,

I'm in my first year of IB and I am starting to research potential topics for my chemistry extended essay. Because I want my extended essay to include one of my passions, I decided to write it about something related to medicine, pharmacy or even climate change. So far, all my ideas have been rejected by the supervisor due to them being inappropriate or too difficult. But I think I finally came up with something usable, I still need to work narrowing it down but do you think to research about the effectiveness of expired meds such as Ibuprofen or aspirin and relating it to the maybe useless expiration date of some meds? (they are only there because of law).

Do you think it will be enough for a chemistry extended essay?

I dont like this topic. You have to be very articulate and quantitative and pretty much need to consider all aspects a government agency or commercial manufacturer would consider when making an expiration date.
