Kil- STRO
I don't know if I can do research based on just the mathematical analysis and interpretations of a physics concept for my EE, rather than conducting any sort of experiment or data processing. My teacher says the IB won't expect a theoretical/pure mathematical paper. Is that true? Reply
kw0573
The EE guide explicitly says that it can be based on theory only. However, you still need to demonstrate a wide variety of quality reference materials and personal engagement. In addition, the guide warns that the student must ground the EE in physics and not spend too much on math derivations (eg showing how to evaluate a hard integral) Reply
