wandre
Would the IB penalize someone for writing a fact on a paper without saying where the information was gotten from? If you are talking about a relatively famous person, and mention when they were born or when they died without "citing" that information, would you risk failing your diploma? I have heard the iB has some degree of tolerance for these things, but in this case, it also isn't really an idea, but an objective fact. How does that work? shellyhanani
It usually depends on what paper you are talking about. Some papers are stricter with citing than others. Also, I would cite it just in case regardless of whether the IB is lenient with it or not. I hope this helps Reply
