Michs
Hey guys I need your help with something. In May 2018 I did my final exams and failed. My Dp coordinator told me I couldn’t te-take in November as I was 5 points away. He told me I could ONLY re-do the year and retake my subject in MAY2019. I did that and found out I failed again by 3 points and he wants me to redo the year again. So my question is: is there a rule that says that the coordinator can literally not sign you up for the examinations? Because I find it really crazy that they get to decide what to do for me. Thank you for whoever gives me an answer!! Reply
kw0573
Yes the school reserves the right to accept and decline registration. Have you had your exams regraded? You don't need to redo all 6 subjects just the ones needed to get the diploma. Also for the Diploma you can register in a maximum of 3 sessions. Does it say on an official document like the IB guide? Reply
kw0573
On page 102 of 2018 DP Assessment Procedures, it says Quote A school is under no obligation to register a candidate who wishes to take one or more subjects again, regardless of whether the candidate was a diploma or course candidate, or did or did not previously attend the school. I hope that I conveyed my certainty. Reply
